Here are some extracts from reviews on Trip Advisor:

A Glorious setting in a special place - The rooms are airy and light and well located to offer privacy between patrons. And the staff were always friendly and helpful. Can't think of a better way to escape the cool and damp Victorian winter in Australia. We just loved it!

- Melbourne, Australia (Oct 10)

Can't wait to go back! - The first thing to say is the location is STUNNING! Set on a rocky outcrop on the beautiful and peaceful Ashvem beach, Rococco has an unrivalled position. We enjoyed panoramic views from our balcony and falling asleep (on one of the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced in India) to the sound of crashing waves can't be beaten. This is a small, boutique hotel run by a lovely couple Joy and Roslyn and a team of really friendly and conscientious staff, many of whom became our friends. The rooms are lovely and spacious and well equipped.

This is aristocracy blended with virgin nature, a unique mix which calls for exploring time and time again

We came across Rococco by chance whilst walking along the beach. The appearance from the beach made us wonder what the rooms were like. We had a guided tour ‘WOW’ we booked instead of staying in our hotel at Calangute. Our views:

  • Cocktails and stunning views!
  • Rooms excellent
  • View breath-taking from balcony room 12
  • Awakening to the sound of waves, having fallen asleep to the melodic sound of the sea
  • Staff of the highest caliber, nothing too much trouble, Pampered in every way
  • Food – I had crab to die for. My partner had vegetarian – excellent!
  • My partner & I felt we had tremendous value for money. The whole place is AWESOME!”

I came for rest & stayed alone & all the staff made me feel very comfortable. I was happy that the restaurant cooks European food & is very clean, just like being in Europe & I really liked the Mojito cocktails. The sea was so near that I felt I could dive in from my balcony. This is the best service I have experienced in India.

‘Mediterranean Pearl’ Restaurant Review by esteemed international food writers (and ex-General Manager of the 5* Taj Hotel, South Goa):

We walk through the resort to a bright beckoning restaurant overlooking the bright blue of the ocean. Now this is sophistication I thought looking at the blue and white damask table cloths, fresh flowers floating in glasses of blue liquid, and yet maintaining the simple rustic effect of cane chairs on a sandy floor…on the pristine virgin beach of Ashvem. The starters, elegantly designed now reached the table. Corn feta cigars, tangy crispy baby corn and falafel and pita pockets. While we were relishing these preparations we got a call asking where some American auditors from a company could be entertained. My spontaneous response was ‘Mediterranean Pearl’.

The main course now arrived. The golden yellow chicken marinated in Moroccan yogurt and olives served with pilaf rice should be your order. My personal favourite was the Charmoule baby fish…simply put with lemon, garlic. But for me the deserts were the call of the day. A fresh fruit cheesecake, believe me no sugar, but a crisp biscuit topped with fruit and mascarpone cheese. Melting chocolate with icecream. A dip of your spoon into that cake and out spurts molten chocolaten
